Prof. Hanumanthu Purushotham is a distinguished academician and an eminent IP & technology transfer expert with extensive experience in innovation and research. He holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University, an M.Tech from IIT-Kharagpur, an MBA from IGNOU, and a Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

He has held several senior leadership positions, including DPIIT-IPR Chair Professor at Andhra University and Chairman & Managing Director of National Research Development Corporation, Government of India and scientict G at ARCI and Technology Development Board , DST Government of India . With over 40 years of experience spanning Government, Industry, and Academia, he has made significant contributions to R&D, IPR management, technology transfer, innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship, startups, venture funding, and industry-academia partnerships.

As a faculty member at Anna University, Osmania University, and Central Tribal University, he has played a crucial role in advancing education and research. He has facilitated the protection of 600 IPs and the commercialization of 500 technologies for startups, MSMEs, and large industries.

he has published over 100 research papers, one book, six book chapters, and has three patents, to his credit. He is a member of several prestigious committees and professional bodies. Prof. Purushotham has received 19 national and international awards, including IP Excellence and Innovation Promotion Awards, and was recognized as "CEO of the Year 2019" for bringing turnaround in National Research Development Corporation.
