On February 15, 2025, the Indian Biomedical Skill Consortium (IBSC), the training body of Erba Global Institute of Medical Technology, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 110 academic institutions to provide training and certification in the field of medical technology. This collaboration aims to enhance skill development by offering industry-relevant programs that equip students and professionals with the necessary expertise to excel in the medical technology sector. IBSC, in partnership with the Association of Indian Medical Manufacturers of Medical Devices (AiMeD) and the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) under the Quality Council of India (QCI), serves as a certification body for biomedical engineers, ensuring that the workforce meets the evolving demands of healthcare services. Through this initiative, IBSC continues to strengthen the biomedical skill sector by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
